🇦🇪 UAE Growing Calendar & Tips
Because we are currently in mid-October, it is the absolute prime time to plant Coreopsis seeds in the UAE.
  • Ideal Planting Window: Sowing between October and February allows the seeds to germinate easily and mature during the beautiful, cooler winter season.
  • Sunlight: They are true sun-worshippers and require full direct sunlight (at least 6 hours daily) to maximize their brilliant flower production.
  • Soil & Water: Coreopsis thrives in well-draining soil and is highly adaptive. While it is exceptionally drought-tolerant once established, the young sprouts should be kept lightly and consistently moist until they take root. Avoid overwatering, as they dislike soggy conditions.

✨ Tips for Massive Blooms
  • Deadheading: Once the flowers begin to fade, pinch or clip off the old flower heads. This process, called deadheading, forces the plant to continuously pump out fresh waves of bright yellow and red blooms all winter long.
  • Pollinator Magnet: These are fantastic for ecological gardens in the region, as their open faces are heavily attractive to local butterflies and beneficial bees.
